When QAS is installed it will write to the following two keys:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Quest Software\Quest Group Policy Manager\Extensions\vgp
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Quest Software\Quest Group Policy Manager\Extensions\vgp
This is done so that QAS does not need to be reinstalled after GPOADmin is installed. Regardless of the order of QAS and GPOADmin installation, this will work fine.
WORKAROUND:
Scenario 1: QAS is not installed
Install QAS. This will create the registry keys noted above.
Scenario 2: GPOADmin was upgraded
During the upgrade process of GPOADmin, the product removes the entire Group Policy Manager registry key which results in the QAS keys and extensions missing and not loaded into GPOADmin. Reports will not contain the QAS data as the extensions don't exist.
Since GPOADmin can only be installed as either a 64-bit application or a 32-bit application but not both on the same machine one of the QAS keys above will still exist after the GPOADmin uninstall. All that needs to be done is to export the VGP key and either add or remove the Wow6432Node into the key path exported registry file. Once that's corrected you can then import the registry file and the key will be added back in.
