No email addresses are being imported from Active Directory. i.e if a user has an email address in the e-mail field account on the their Active Directory account it doesn't appear in Archive Manager.
If the email address is entered manually into the Archive Manager login email field, it will then disappear after the next next run of the Active Directory Connector.
In active directory users and computers, check Attribute Editor in the affected users' properties for ProxyAddress and ensure it has a value, e.g. SMTP:user@domain.com. If it is missing populate this field.
Once populated the next time the active directory connector runs the email address field in the login for the user will get updated in Archive Manager.
