Quest has identified an issue, which affects users of all NetVault 13.1.x versions.

How does this affect me?

If you have upgraded to version13.1.x in your environment and are using disk based storage targets, such as:

  • QoreStor
  • DataDomain
  • NetVault SmartDisk
  • DR-Series
  • Object Storage

This issue may impact you. The issue manifests as expired savesets not being properly removed from the storage target. The savesets, when not properly removed, will become orphaned. While there is no concern for data loss, this issue could result in the target storage filling up prematurely.

Note: This issue only affects upgrades to 13.1.x prior to 13.1.2.11 and does not affect new installations of 13.1.2.x.

Resolution

We have resolved this issue. If you have upgraded to NetVault 13.1.x in your environment we strongly recommend that you upgrade to this new build available here. Please review the following knowledge article for further details on this issue.
