On Demand Migration Product Notification

Starting February 14^th, customers can migrate as little or as much chat messages as they want for no additional cost when purchasing the On Demand Migration T3 and T5 SKUs. Customers can migrate the last 15, 30, or 60 days of chat messages to live chat. Customers can then archive the remaining 30, 60, 90 days, or all remaining messages to archive (HTML) files.

The merge messages feature is enabled for all chat migrations to ensure the fastest throughput.
For all customers that intend on migrating/archiving all chat messages with short timelines, we recommend buying the addon Teams Chat SKU to get the fastest throughput for archiving. In our lab environments, we experienced 4x faster throughput when migrating to archive with the addon Teams Chat SKU. 
 
Existing On Demand Migration subscriptions purchased before August 1st, 2022, are not affected by this change. 
These customers will still be able to migrate and/or archive all of the chat messages for all of their licensed users via the configurations described above.

Quick review on our chat migration recommendations:

1. Migrate the last 15 or 30 days of messages during the last phase of content migrations.
2. Then archive the remaining messages for those users who require the messages for regulatory or business reasons (in a second migration task).
3. Buy the chat addon license in advance for those users who need fast archiving!
