Identity Manager 8.0.5, 8.1.2, 8.1.3, 8.1.4

 

Microsoft will disable Basic Authentication in Exchange Online for all tenants October 1, 2022. The official notification is available here.

How does this affect me?

Since Microsoft is deprecating the use of basic authentication for Microsoft Exchange Online beginning in October of 2022, the use of this method by Identity Manager will fail with an HTTP 401 error. 

 

Resolution

If you are using Identity Manager version 8.1.3, 8.1.5 or 8.2.x or later, you will not be affected and no is hotfix required.

  • If you are using version 8.1.2 you will be impacted – hotfix 32403 is available. Please contact Support and reference CR 32403. Refer to KB 326845.
  • If you are using version 8.1.4 or 8.0.5 you will be impacted – hotfix 33433 is available. Please contact Support and reference CR 33433. Refer to KB 326845.

Identity Manager versions 6.x, 7.x, 8.0.0 to 8.0.4, 8.1.0 and 8.1.1 are no longer supported and no hotfix is available. These versions can no longer be used for synchronization with Exchange Online. 

Status
