You are receiving this email because our research indicates that you recently downloaded NetVault 13.0.3 from the support portal.  

When using NetVault 13.0.3 with DR appliances or QoreStor 6.1.0 (or earlier), you may experience restore or copy job failures.

Customers using NetVault 13.0.3 with QoreStor 7.x are not affected.

How does this affect me?

If using QoreStor with version 6.1 or earlier, you may experience failed restore jobs as well as failed data copy jobs.

This known issue will manifest as restore/data copy jobs that will appear to hang, with no data restored or data copied. These jobs will eventually timeout and fail.

Resolution

  1. If you have installed NetVault 13.0.3 and are using QoreStor as a backup target, this problem can be resolved by upgrading QoreStor to version 7.1.1.
  2. If you are using a DR appliance as a target, please follow the instructions in the knowledge base article.
  3. If the QoreStor server cannot be upgraded to 7.1.1, please follow the workaround steps for upgrading the RDA library on NetVault 13.0.3 clients and server in the knowledge base article.

Status

We have resolved this issue. If you have installed NetVault 13.0.3 and are using DR appliance in your environment we strongly recommend that you install the update for NetVault RDA library available here. Please review the following knowledge base article for further details on this issue.
