When trying to uninstall Performance Analysis (PA) client GUI, the install wizard is stating that:
Nothing has been selected for installation.
Following KB Article 32493 does not seem to help and there is no Quest Installer shortcut under: All programs | Quest Software | Quest Installer.
Running QI.exe directly from C:\Program Files\Quest Software\Quest Installer does not do anything or sometimes fail with:
Exception ERegistryException in module QIHelper.DLL at 0009AD3C.
Failed to get data for 'Log level'.
1. Close all Quest Products on the client machine.
2. If you have not done so, uninstall PA client GUI from Add/Remove programs if it is visible from there.
3. Follow the steps in KB Article 32493 to perform manual installation cleanup
4. Navigate to C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Quest Software\Quest Installer\LocalManifest\ and take a backup of LocalManifest.xml file
5. Edit the LocalManifest.xml and all XML blocks that contains the following names:
name="PerformanceAnalysis_SA"
name="PerformanceAnalysis_SA_Common"
For example, the following 2 blocks should be removed from the file:
6. Close and save the file.
7. Rerun the PA client installer and complete the wizard.
