After a Windows device completes its cutover to the target tenant through a Microsoft Entra Join profile, the device still retains Microsoft Management Platform Cloud (MMPC) enrollment information that originated in the source environment.
This residual enrollment data is recorded on the device as the Intune enrollment flag, the registry value MmpcEnrollmentFlag located under HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Enrollments. When it is not removed, the migrated device can continue referencing a previous enrollment or management state in the target tenant, which administrators may observe as:
By default, a Microsoft Entra Join cutover does not remove existing MMPC enrollment information from the device. This information is held in the registry value MmpcEnrollmentFlag under HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Enrollments. If the MMPC Enrollment Cleanup option is not enabled on the Microsoft Entra Join profile, this registry value is left in place on the device during the cutover, and the residual MMPC enrollment information remains after migration.
Enable the MMPC Enrollment Cleanup option on the Microsoft Entra Join profile used for the device cutover. When this option is selected, the cutover removes the Microsoft Management Platform Cloud enrollment information from the device as part of the migration.

Selecting MMPC Enrollment Cleanup removes the Microsoft Management Platform Cloud enrollment information — the MmpcEnrollmentFlag registry value under HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Enrollments — from the device as part of the cutover. Enable this option before running the cutover when you want the migrated device to be free of residual MMPC enrollment information.
