This article describes how to modify the Job Concurrency setting on the On Demand Migration (ODM) DirSync Agent.
NOTE: When the Automatic option is enabled, the agent calculates an appropriate thread count based on the number of available CPU cores. This is the recommended setting for most environments. Manual configuration is useful when you need to limit resource consumption or tune performance for a specific workload.
Job Concurrency controls the number of threads the agent uses to process migration jobs in parallel, which directly affects migration throughput and server resource utilization.
The Job Concurrency setting is configured through the DirSync Agent installer as a registry DWORD value named JobConcurrency. It can be set to Automatic (agent-determined) or Manual (fixed thread count, up to a maximum of 20).
