ODM | How to perform Bulk collection deletion

Required to delete wrongly created collection in Bulk, but Bulk collection deletion is not available in the current version of the ODM portal.

Lots of Collection was created but no longer required as part of the cleanup.

Prerequisites

• Ensure you have access to the relevant project. Refer to the documentation for detailed roles and access requirements.
• Have a basic understanding of how PowerShell works.
• Seek guidance from Quest Professional Services if you are unsure.
• Install the ODMAPI PowerShell module. Refer to On Demand Migration Current – User Guide > Appendix A: Using PowerShell for instructions.

High-Level Steps

1. Connect to the organization, project, and workload. These connections allow you to list and delete collections. Refer to the User Guide or consult Quest Professional Services for further assistance.

2. To retrieve all collections within a workload, use the following command with the appropriate parameters:

   • Get-ODMCollection

    

3. To remove a specific collection within the workload, use the following command with the appropriate parameters:

   • Remove-ODMCollection
