Removing Teams from ODM Project (4381487)

A large number of Microsoft Teams were discovered in the ODM project. The user wants to remove unneeded Teams from the ODM project but is concerned that using the Remove option may delete or modify the Teams in the M365 tenant.

When Microsoft Teams are discovered in ODM, they are added to the migration project inventory for planning and mapping purposes.
Removing these objects from the ODM project only affects the project workspace. It does not interact with or modify the actual Teams in the Microsoft 365 tenant.

1. In the ODM Teams migration project, select the Team(s) you want to remove.
2. Click More > Remove

This action only removes the selected Team(s) from the ODM project list. It does not:

• Delete the Microsoft Team from the source or target tenant
• Remove members, channels, or data
• Modify any existing Teams configuration in Microsoft 365

The change is local to the ODM project and is safe to perform.
If needed later, the Team can be rediscovered or manually added back to the project.
