Projects Not Visible in ODM Portal After Microsoft/EntraID Account Login

When users log into the ODM portal with their new Microsoft/EntraID account, they expect to see all projects they were previously working on. However, if the user's EntraID account is configured with email aliases, and they log in using their username (which is then translated into an alias behind the scenes), the ODM portal may not recognize their account and fail to display their projects.

The ODM portal uses the email address received in the authentication token from Microsoft to identify users and associate them with their projects. Currently, the portal does not inherently support aliases.

Add Alias to Admin Role:

1. If possible, have an existing ODM administrator log into the portal and add the affected user's email alias to the admin.core role within the relevant organization. This will ensure the QIB token generated upon login contains the correct email address associated with admin privileges, allowing the user to access their projects.

2. Once the alias is added to the admin.core role, the user should log out of the ODM portal and then log back in using their alias. Their projects should now be visible.

If there is no user with existing access to ODM who can add the alias to the admin role, open a service request with Quest Support. Explain the situation and provide the following information:

• Organization ID
• Region
