On Demand for AD Discovery Errors

You are running a discovery for a new local environment and the discovery is failing and you find the following error.

The UPDATE statement conflicted with the FOREIGN KEY constraint \""FK_dbo.DomainControllers_dbo.ActiveDirectory_ActiveDirectoryId\"". The conflict occurred in database \""sqlcds01-prod11\"", table \""dbo.ActiveDirectory\"", column 'Id'.\r\nThe statement has been terminated."",

This can occur if the environment is a child domain but the agent has been configured with the parent domain.
This can also occur if there are no DCs populated in the environment, Settings, DC list.

The agent will need to be reconfigured to use the child domain. Alternatively, agent need to be reconfigured in the parent domain, but use account with Enterprise Admin rights, so it can traverse all child domains during the discovery.

Please navigate to the affected environment, Settings, Domain Controllers and validate that it's populated with correct DC(s), that dirsync agent can reach.

The issue is recorded as Defect 50326 and fix was deployed on August 22nd, 2024.
