Teams chats missing for one user

Teams chats have been migrated and one user is unable to see any migrated chats in within Teams on the target tenant. 

A user account was used instead of a dedicated service account when configuring the ODM connections. This same account also had its Teams chats migrated using On Demand Migration (ODM).

During the final stage of the Teams Chats migration, ODM removes the account configured under **Configure Connections** from the migrated user's chats.

If the account configured under **Configure Connections** is the same user whose chats are being migrated, the account removes itself from those migrated chats. As a result, the user no longer has access to view the chats that were migrated.

Create a New Project in ODM

1. Create a new project in ODM.

2. Configure the source and target connections using the appropriate service account.

3. Re-grant the required consents.

4. Discover the source accounts and map them to the target accounts.

5. Discover the Teams chats.

6. Select the required user and create a new Chats migration task.

7. Run the Chats migration task.

Please note that our recommendation is to use a dedicated service account for the migration. If a dedicated service account is created and used, this scenario will not happen.
