Description: If you are looking to start (kick off) NetVault jobs from the command line (or scripts), NetVault has included the command line utilty nvjobs start. There are times when you would like to start (kick off) NetVault jobs from the command line. The most popular reason is for custom scripts. Also, there may be times when the NVGUI is not available but you need to start (kick off) a NetVault job.
Here's an example of how to use nvjobstart... (on your NetVault server)
nvjobstart -jobid 31
Additional Flags and Parameters...
SYNTAX: nvjobstart [-servername servername]
-jobid jobid
-wait
-version
-jobid The NetVault job id number of the Job to start
-servername The Name of the target NetVault server
-wait Indicates to NetVault that the user wants to wait till the task has completed
* Under Unix/Linux nvjobstart is located in the /netvault/util usually located in /usr/netvault/util. Unless you've defined another location for NetVault to be installed during install.
* Under Windows nvjobstart is located in \netvault\util usually located in C:\Program Files\BakBone Software\netvault\util. Unless you've defined another location for NetVault to be installed during install.
