NetVault backups can be triggered one after the other by calling post scripts from a job.
Resolution
In order to trigger one job from another, use the following steps as a guide
On Job 1- add a post script to the job definition advanced options - tick the "use postscript" box and put in a script name (without a path) e.g. run2.bat (or run2.sh on linux)
In the ~Netvault/scripts/ directory on the NetVault CLIENT running the first job create the script run2.bat (or run2.sh on linux) with the following contents:
"%NV_HOME%\bin\nvtrigger" -server NV_SERVER_NAME TRIGGER_NAME
where NV_SERVER_NAME is the Netvault Server name and TRIGGER_NAME is a new unique name for a trigger.
On the second job - edit the job definition schedule tab - select "triggered" and enter the trigger name specified above.
Once the first job has been submitted and completed successfully, the second job will start.
