"MFC71.DLL was not found" when launching NVGUI or nvconfigurator (4047184)

When running NVGUi or NVCONFIGURATOR, you receive the following error message:

"The Application has failed to start because MFC71.DLL was not found, Re-Installing the application may fix the problem".
 

MFC71.dll is a Microsoft Corporation library that the NVBU installation package copies to the system under C:\Windows\System32 when NVBU is first installed.
However, this particular .dll can be used by other applications and at times, actions such as installing or uninstalling applications that also use this .dll can cause it to be removed or replaced.

If you still have the NVBU installation package at hand, this .dll can be found in the decompressed \netvault installation folder under \netvault\libraries.
Please copy it to C:\WINDOWS\system32 as the NVBU installer would have done, and this will allow you to run the NVBU graphical utilities.
