It is not possible to add a NetVault client to the Client Management List in NetVault. The Clients machines.dat file was not showing the correct IP for the NetVault Contact Address, when tring to correct the IP, this would reset back to the incorrect IP.
This is dueto a misconfigured DNS record. The fact that the machines.dat file on the client keeps finding the wrong IP address for the server indicates that the reverse DNS record for the name of the server is wrong.
