Please note that this solution only applies to NetVault 8.2 and higher. If you see this on an older NetVault version, please refer to solution "Warning message "Job xx uses plugin XXXX, that is not installed" appears during Netvault Database backup"
Symptoms:
After a database restore (though may occur in other circumstances) a database backup with the checkers enabled or an nvscheddbcheck run produce errors of the type:
'Job 'FULL wednesday', id 201, uses plugin 'File System', that is not installed
The Client is up and running and the listed plugin is installed.
In the Netvault Server ~netvault directory there is a folder called GUI/cachedpits. Cachedpits contains a subdirectory for each client, containing the GUI icons and other identifier information for each of the plugins.
During a Netvault database restore - this directory is not restored.
1) For each of the clients, browse the backup window
or
2) First "cd .../netvault/bin" and for each client, run the following command on the server:
nvpitupdate -client client_name
3) IF these entries are still seen in the database check results, then browse the client from the NetVault backup window using the plugin mentioned in the database check output.
For Clients that have been decommissioned, I would advise to perform the following on the NetVault Server:
1] NetVault Configurator > Service tab and stop the NetVault Services.
2] Go to the …\NetVault Baclup\gui\CachedPits\ directory and remove the decommissioned Clients.
3] Start the NetVault Services.
