Prerequisite to adding a library or libraries to NetVault
Symptoms:
NetVault Not seeing the library arm and drive(s)
Solution/Workaround/Procedure
When adding a library or libraries to NetVault, please check the Product Documentation - NetVault: Supported VTLs, Libraries, Tape and Optical Drives list to see if the library is supported by NetVault. If the library is supported, check the right hand side of the documentation for notes.
If there is note of: Read Application Notes for special support conditions and cleaning details, then use the link provided below to check the Device Application Notes.

For NetVault to see the library arm and tape drive(s), please verify that the Operating system can see both the library arm and tape drive(s). If the Operating system is not able to see both devices, verify that the library is set to "Random Mode" as per the manufacture. If the Operating system is still not able to see both devices, then you will need to contact your hardware vendor for assistance.
