Netvault server was previously a client to another server and/or was/is domain controlled from another Netvault client machine.
The other server has now been removed and the server cannot now back itself up. In client management although the server GUI sees itself in 'server selection'
the icon for the server cannot be seen in client management or the backup window.
Config has been corrupted in some way after other Netvault server was removed from system.
Open the nvconfigurator and go to security. Verify that both options 'this machine may be added as a client to a server' and 'disable security' are set.
Also check the contents of the gui.cfg file on the server:
The machine ID may be incorrectly or not defined in the gui.cfg file.
- Edit ~NetVault\config\gui.cfg
- Check the value under [Servers]
- Name = should match the machine name of the NetVault server as listed in on NetVault Configurator machine tab.
