In some ocasions, applying a new license over an existing licese does not update the licensing capabilities.
If you want to selectively disable or unload unnecessary licenses, that did not get updated by applying a new license:
a)- Open the NetVault Configurator and Stop the NetVault services.
b)- Go to %netvault%/bkl folder and move out the .bkl file corresponding to the license that you want to unload and disable.
c)- Start the NetVault services
d)- Click on the License tab of the NetVault Configurator, and enter all licenses that you need to add to that NetVault server or Client.
Note1: Do not delete the .bkl file in the step b) above. Just move it out of the bkl folder to a safe location, so you can stop the NetVault services and place it back there if something goes wrong.
Note2: IF you have all of the current licenses that you need to apply to that NetVault Backup Server or Client Machine, you can stop the NeVault Services, move the whole bkl folder to a safe location, and Start the NetVault services and add all Licenses.
Note3: e)- You can always stop the NetVault Services and re-instate the old bkl folder or any .bkl file if something goes wrong on the steps above.
