When performing an NDMP Restore, the job finishes with a "Job Completed" status, but when browsing the "\\NDMP_Sserver\share\folder" location in Windows the directory is empty or the files cannot be seen.
NetVault performs the Restore as the same user specified in the NDMP Plugin's server configuration, which is normally the "root" account. When browsing the CIFS share's "\\NDMP_Server\share\folder" path using Windows Explorer and logged into an individual user account without Domain Administrator privileges, the lack of root permissions will not show the files and folders which were restored using the NDMP server's "root" permissions.
To see these Restored files, browse to the folder using the Windows Administrative Shares, such as "\\NDMP_Server\share$" and drill down to the Restore location with these elevated viewing permissions. The "$" administrative share permissions should increase permissions where they are viewable, then their owner and file permissions can be changed to those viewable by end users without "$" CIFS share access.
