How do you configure Active Directory Integration new feature in NetVault 12? -
Description
Integrating Microsoft Active Directory (AD) with NetVault Backup enables role-based access control in NetVault Backup. It lets users log in to NetVault Backup using their AD credentials. It also lets AD users manage NetVault Backup users. -
Cause
Since there is no visible options in the NetVault WebUI for the AD integration might not seem obvious how to set this new feature unless you have reviewed the subject in the NetVault Backup 12.0 - Administration Guide.

Resolution
1. The NetVault Server must be joined to the domain.
2. Login into the NetVault WebUI with the domain user that you want to add to NetVault.
3. You might not have the appropriate permissions in NetVault for this user, logoff and login again with the local admin user account.
4. Go to Manage users in the navigation pane within the WebUI and Edit the new AD user.
5. Edit group Memberships and Privileges accordingly.
