We see snapshot initiated in netvault log as shown below but on the Vcenter server a different machine is snapshotted .

Check the VMX file of the on the two machines concerned they will have the same UUID as seen below.
uuid.bios = "56 4d e2 ab 25 43 be af-4e 6e 9a 46 a6 26 90 cd"
A Vm machine has been created using a copy of files direct to the data store and not been converted or imported correctly.
Change the UUID on one of the Virtual systems. To do this you may want to contact VMware support before making changes. The Vmware KB below discusses ways of doing this but not for this exact scenario.
