How to perform SAP/backint backups to specific group of target media. (4042421)

This solution details how to perform SAP/backint backups to specific group of target media with NetVault Backup (NVBU).

In the NVBU Console create a backup target set -

1. Open the 'Backup' window.
2. Navigate to the 'Target' screen.
3. Configure the required Device Options, Media Options and General Options.
4. At the bottom of the screen, across from 'Target Set' press Save As.
5. Enter a name for the Target Set, for example "SAPTARGETSET".
6. Press OK.

Create a parameter file on the SAP server containing the following entry (Target Set name is the example used above):
Backup target set=SAPTARGETSET

Run the Backint utility as follows:
backint.exe -f backup -i <path and name of input file> -p <path and name of parameter file>
