When trying to scan, load media from another library or site... you may receive errors or problems similar to the following:
Media will show up "BLANK" .. although there is data on it.
Try to scan the tape and you get the message "Will not scan"
Try to load into the drive, from slot., Error: 'INCOMPATIBLE MEDIUM INSTALLED'
You may want to check with your Library Vendor, Hardware Vendor or Library Owners Manual... as this may be an issue with Barcode Label on the Tapes. Labels that worked on one library/drives may not be compatible from one library to the next.
In this case, the problem was a wrong label and the customer needed to use other labels to be able to scan the media again. Once this was done, the customer was able to scan and use the media again. Everything was fine at that point.
