In the NetVault Backup logs there may be the following log messages.
ContainerName not initialized. Please re-add device
RDA getattr_device failed 'Invalid argument(s)
Version of RAS device is DR OS version 4.0.332.0 Client RDA API version 4.0.532.0 RDA API version number 2
NetVault Backup 11.4 comes with RDA plugin version 4.0.532.0 and requires DR OS 4.0.0.3. A lower version of DR OS is currently installed on the DR appliance.
Solution 1 (Recommended)
Upgrade the OS on the DR appliance to a version 4.0.0.3 or greater.
Solution 2
If the problem persists after upgrading the DR to version 4.0.0.3, install the latest version of the RDA plugin manually.
1. Download the version 4.0.0.3 of the RDA plugin from https://support.quest.com/dr-series/dr4300/download-new-releases
2. Stop the NetVault Backup service
3. Run the RDA plugin installer that you downloaded in step 1.
Note: On Linux/Unix you will need to add execute permission to the installer file before running the installer( i.e. chmod +x DellRDSPlugin-r.0.0332.1-RDA.bin)
