Backup to an LTO-6 fails with error Failed to write header 'CMD SENSE KEY 'ILLEGAL REQUEST ' [5] - ASC ee ASCQ 02.

    The following messages and errors were within the NetVault logs:

    1] Error   Media     Failed to write header

The Tape Library will Load ALL Tapes (One by One), and for each tape it will try to write the header and fail. and that tape will be marked as BAD, after giving the Failed to Write Header Error

It will do that for all tapes available.

This is a hardware issue outside of NVBU (writing and a SCSI communication problem) and you will need to consult your hardware vendor and supply the above logs.

[5] - ASC ee ASCQ 02 means Encryption - Key Service Not Available  N/A     
The tape drive has not been configured with an encryption method (application-, system-, or library-managed).
Note: This status is only presented by the drive; the key manager cannot see this status.
Configure the tape drive to resolve this error.

[5] - ASC ee ASCQ 02 means that the Password for the Encryption Services account expired..
Customer resolved this issue just by updating the Password for the Encryption Services which is used by the Tape Drive Hardware Encryption.
