When running SQL backups using the VDI method some backups may fail, NetVault logs show error similar to 'Lost message channel unexpectedly.'
Windows Application Event logs will show that nvsqlserver.exe has crashed and libnv664.dll will be listed as the faulting application.
To resolve this issue change the SQL Plugin options used for this backup job. Reduce the number of VDI streams.
You may want to set it to 1 and run the job to confirm this is the issue. If job still fails with it set to 1 further investigation will be required.
