NVBU 9.2 on RHEL 7.2 does not start automatically after reboot
Description

After successful installation of NVBU 9.2 on RHEL 7.2, the NetVault service does not start automatically after reboot and has to be started manually.
The problem is not resolved by applying KB 157884 https://support.quest.com/netvault-backup/kb/157884
Cause

The same Bug 27751 applies here as NVBU 9.2 does not support systemd init system either.
However KB 157884 applies to NVBU 10.x and above and as such it makes reference to the NetVault PostgreSQL service which does not exist in 9.2, hence the netvault.service under 9.2 cannot start as it depends on a PostgreSQL service that does not exist.
Resolution

To ensure NVBU 9.2 starts automatically following reboots on RHEL 7.2 please follow this procedure:
1) Run the following command to remove the NetVault service from the old sysv boot sequence:
chkconfig --level 345 netvault off
2) Create a 'netvault.service' file under /usr/lib/systemd/system/
3) Paste the following into the file:

Description=Netvault service
After=network.target
[Service]
Type=oneshot
ExecStart=/etc/init.d/netvault start
ExecStop=/etc/init.d/netvault stop
RemainAfterExit=true
[Install]
WantedBy=multi-user.target
------------------------------
4) Save the file
5) Add netvault to the systemd boot sequence:
systemctl enable netvault.service
Now reboot and verify NVBU 9.2 is running automatically.
