Removing tapes and adding tapes using Entry exit port (EE port) of library in NetVault.
Removing tapes and adding tapes from Entry exit port (EE port) of library from NetVault without using the open/close port options can cause incorrect media being reported in library by NetVault. This is because NetVault needs to be in control of ALL tape movement.
To remove tapes from library EE port the tape need to be exported to EE port and then the open port option must be used in NetVault, tapes removed and close port must be used.
When new tapes are introduced to the EE port the port must again be opened and closed so that NetVault does an inventory of the new tapes
