VM restore to alternate vCenter fails with "Job manager lost message channel unexpectedly"
Description

While using Plug-in for VMware 11.4.0.9 to restore a VM to alternate vCenter, the restore job fails immediately with:
"Job manager lost message channel unexpectedly"
Channel '016AC1D0': process ID '2' connected to process ID '3845' running on 'proxy' has been lost.
- Trace show the vmware plugin can login to the vCenter and start the recovery process, but the plugin crashes while 'Gathering server inventory details' :

Cause

This issue happens when all fields in the Plug-in Options section of the restore jobs are not filled.
Resolution

To successfully restore a VM to an alternate vCenter server, ensure all required information have been provided by filling all available fields under the restore Plugin Options.
Specifically ensure the following fields have all data:
Under the "Recover virtual machine under vCenter" section, provide:
Alternate Resource Pool Path:
Alternate Datastore:
Alternate ESXi Host Address:
Alternate vCenter Details:
Alternate vCenter Address:
User name:
Password:
