Installation fails with message “failed to install software” “failed to run post-install executable”
The plugin appears in the backup window but is unusable
VMware's VDDK no longer supports 32-bit operating systems. This is documented in the release note under New Features
IMPORTANT: The Plug-in for VMware 12.3 can only be installed on 64-bit operating systems as the 32-bit libraries are no longer supported by the Virtual Disk Development Kit (VDDK). This applies to both Windows and Linux® systems.
Upgrade the client or NetVault server to 64 bit operating system with NetVault server or client 64 bit.
Or move the plugin to a different client that has 64 bit operating system with NetVault 64 bit installed.
