Duplicate savesets disappear from NVBU 10.0.0.46 Web UI when the original backups expire -
Description
Under NVBU 10.0.0.46, when a backup job is configured with a Secondary Copy using the Duplicate method, the Duplicate saveset will disappeared from the web interface's Create Restore Job - Choose Saveset menu, when the phase 1 copy expires even if the secondary copy has a longer life. -
Cause
This is a product defect confirmed in Bug 26859. This will be fixed in NVBU 10 first maintenance release (R1M1).
This is a Web Service issue only as the missing savesets can be found and restored from using the NVRESTORE CLI command.

WORKAROUND:
nvrestore CLI utility can be used to find the missing savesets and restore from them as follows:

To find the saveset:c:\Program Files (x86)\Quest Software\NetVault Backup\util>nvrestore -listTo restore a folder from the saveset:c:\Program Files (x86)\Quest Software\NetVault Backup\util>nvrestore -create 129 -title testrestore -path "C:\ProgramData\Quest\DR\log" -relocate C:\test -runwhere "-create 129" is the saveset number, "-path" is the item to restore, and "-relocate" the target location to restore to. -
