‘Job is Differential BLI - requesting previous index’ Snap Mirror to Tape differential backup error message.
NetVault environment details:
NetVault Server: 9.0 installed on Windows 2008 R2 64Bit
NDMP Plugin: 7.6.11
NDMP Snap Mirror to Tape Plugin: 7.6.111
NetApp Filer
The Full BLI backup of more than volume completes successfully, but the Differential backup that is based upon that Full backup fails with the following errors:
From the Job Manager Trace we see the following errors:

From the Snap Mirror 2 Tape Trace we see the following errors:

0 NDMPBACK ??? 4396 515 0 155728425018 Failure to prepare for Diff BLI backup
When a FULL BLI backup is done for one volume, then the Differential backup completes successfully.
This issue has already been logged with Engineering under BUG 22068 and BUG 22070.
Please check the Snap Mirror to Tape Plugin Release Notes when a future version is available.
Workaround: Only perform Full backups or setup backups to backup one volume at a time, so that Differential backups can be used.
