In a scenario where an Oracle Backup has written to disk and then launches the RMAN Controlled backup but hangs "Waiting for Media" even though you want the RMAN backup to also go to disk which is available; it is likely because the device is busy or the default target tab has been not configured in the Oracle Plugin.
To force the RMAN Auto backup to use a specific Target, you must first create the Target Set and then put the target set name into the Oracle Configuration tab.
