Mountpoint backup through remote mounts -
Description
We have the NetVault client installed on machine A and want to backup some data on machine B, on which we can't install the client. The tape library and server are on machine C. The folder on B is mounted on A via NFS. The folder on B contains mount points to partitions on B. All data in this folder is backed up, except the data in the mount points . -
Cause
Customer was attempting to backup a standard NetVault Solaris based client and several local NFS mount points using file system plugin. "backup through mount points" was a selected option, but the resulting backup did not contains any data from within the mount points.

Resolution
This has been identified as a bug (22338 - File System plugin does not backup through remote mount points).
This has been fixed in version 9.1 of NetVault.
