Unable to perform restore of VSS enabled MSSQL database to alternate server
Cause

Microsoft’s VSS backup method does not support restoring a VSS-based backup to an alternate Instance; therefore, restoring VSS-based backups to an alternate instance with Plug‑in for SQL Server is not supported.
Resolution

WORKAROUND:
1. You can restore it to same server
Or
2. Choose copy option to restore.
