SmartDisk won't start up and when trying to manually start the SmartDisk service, you see the following error: "SVCTOOL Failed to do CAFÉ Connect".
Also, when viewing the Windows Services control panel, the Foundation Service is not running.
Uninstall the previous SmartDisk installation and reinstall using the steps below:
-- Uninstall the current SmartDisk instance from "Programs and Features"
-- Delete any remaining SmartDisk directories that might be left in either Program Files or Program Files (x86)
-- Delete any Stage and Store locations that were created during the initial install
-- Log into the Windows Server 2008 box where you're installing SmartDisk as the *LOCAL* Administrator account, *NOT* a Domain account
-- Copy the NetVault installation package to the local Administrator's desktop
-- Right-click on the SmartDisk installer and choose "Run as Administrator"
-- Follow through the rest of the installation as described in the SmartDisk Install Guide beginning on page 53 of the PDF located at:
