1 - Smartdisk logs -
$IDP_ROOT/foundation/var/logd.log

2 - Netvault backup full binary log covering the time period before and after the NVSD issues occurred

3 – NVSD error level Trace is logged into the following directories:
$IDP_ROOT/foundation/trace/
$IDP_ROOT/diskmanager/trace/
$IDP_ROOT/dedupe/trace/


4 - Overview of the NVSD configuration
$IDP_ROOT/diskmanager/etc/Storage.cfg
Output from:
$IDP_ROOT/foundation/bin/Smartdisk.bat Stats
Output from :
$IDP_ROOT/foundation/bin/Smartdisk.bat config –show

5 - Environment overview : -
Is NVSD installed on the same machine
Specification of memory and processor of machine hosting smart disk
Disk subsystem hosting smart disks – what disks are used for the disk and chunk index what disks are used for stage and store.
(i.e. local RAID, CIFS/NFS shares, SAN attached Volumes )
Network connectivity between the NVSD machine – NVBU server and clients, - what
