When starting SmartDisk via command line, using smartdisk.bat (Windows) or smartdisk.sh (Linux), "failed assertion" errors occur.
This typically means that the user account which is trying to run the command does not have proper permissions.
• For Windows, you should log in as the *Local* Administrator account of the server and re-try the command.
• For Linux/Unix/Mac, you should log into the system via a terminal window and “su root” first and login, then re-try the command.
