Error when un-installing SmartDisk on windows - “unable to run script preremove.sh”
When un-installing SmartDisk , the 'preremove.sh' script is run. The script is designed to stop and remove the Vault SmartDisk service and remove SmartDisk registry entries
If re-installing NetVault, make sure that you have the Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 SP1 Redistributable Package installed. You can have the 2008 version installed in addition to the 2005 version; however,
the 2005 version is required for NVSD. You can download the package from:
32-bit platforms: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=200b2fd9-ae1a-4a14-984d-389c36f85647&displaylang=en
64-bit platforms: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=EB4EBE2D-33C0-4A47-9DD4-B9A6D7BD44DA&displaylang=en
Once the SmartDisk folder is removed, the registry is cleaned up and Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 SP1 Redistributable Package installed, and then run the SmartDisk install.
