Error when un-installing SmartDisk on windows - “unable to run script preremove.sh”

When un-installing SmartDisk , the 'preremove.sh' script is run. The script is designed to stop and remove the Vault SmartDisk service and remove SmartDisk registry entries

1. Verify that the SmartDisk service is not running. “…/smartdisk/foundation/bin/smartdisk.bat stop”
2. Delete the directory where NVSD was installed.
3. Use regedit and manually delete all registry entries related to “smartdisk”.

If re-installing NetVault, make sure that you have the Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 SP1 Redistributable Package installed. You can have the 2008 version installed in addition to the 2005 version; however,

the 2005 version is required for NVSD. You can download the package from:

Once the SmartDisk folder is removed, the registry is cleaned up and Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 SP1 Redistributable Package installed, and then run the SmartDisk install.
