NetVault SmartDisk (NVSD) installation on Windows 2008 fails - "The script 'presinstall.sh', which is run as part of the installation, exited with error code 1.
The output file, as defined in the error pop-up, contains the following text -
Failed to create user '<username>' with associated password in local account db
The non-privileged user for NVSD did not exist before the installation, but instead was configured to be created as part of the installation process.
The password specified for the user does not meet Windows 2008 password complexity requirements.

Specify a pssword which meets Windows 2008 password complexity requirements for the non-privileged user for NVSD.
[RESOLUTION 2]
Disable Windows 2008 password complexity requirements.
Start the Local Group Policy Editor. Navigate to 'Computer Configuration | Windows Settings | Security Settings | Account Policies | Password Policy', then disable Password must meet complexity requirements.
