How to run a one day historical report? Default is 7 days historical report. (4037942)

1) Copy the attached report template to “…\NetVault Backup\reports\templates” directory on the Netvault Server as shown below.

Alternatively you can manually create this template by following the steps below

a) Navigate to “…\NetVault Backup\reports\templates”

b) Make a copy of the report you wish to modify and edit it with Notepad, eg. “historicjobs” and change the below lines

“%INCLUDE "((%startdate >= interactive:inherit:AND %startdate <= interactive:'TODAY') AND ((%Type = 'Backup' OR %Type = 'Restore') OR %Type != status:Normal))"”

TO

%INCLUDE "((%startdate >= interactive:inherit:AND %startdate <= interactive:'TODAY-1DA') AND ((%Type = 'Backup' OR %Type = 'Restore') OR %Type != status:Normal))"

c) Next in the same template file change the following  %NICENAME "HJ1 “

d) Save your changes.

2) Edit using Notepad or Notepad++ the file  “…\NetVault Backup\etc\cannedreports” this should be empty.

3) Insert stanza below and save.

4) Open CMD as admin and cd to “…\NetVault Backup\util” directory

5) Issue the following command

Nvaddcannedreports

6) The created report “HJ1” should now be seen within NetVault "view reports"

Then click on edit report , Give a schedule and event name .

7) The created report should now be seen within NetVault reports. Run the report to verify it has all options you require. You can now schedule the report to run as normal.
