Unable to change settings for the NetVault Clients when using the NVBU WebUI on the NetVault Server. It was only possible to change the settings for the NetVault Server only.
Navigating to Change Settings, then clicked on Client Settings and was presented with a list of clients. Selected the client to change the settings for and then click next.
At this point a blank screen and a spinning wheel was presented. After a few minutes the following error would appear:
Error: Provider 'NVBUServer' failed.
Firewall and access tests for the client in the WebUI both passed.

Firewall ports need to be defined both on the NetVault Server and clients so that NetVault will use these range of ports for communication when 'Client is outside firewall' are checked on these clients. The NetVault Server settings is shown below. NetVault service need to be restarted after changes have been made to the firewall port configuration.
Next to configure the client.
Note that if a firewall is already in place before these ports can be defined in NetVault, then it might not be possible to access the Client Settings from the web console.
To workaround this, either temporarily disable the firewall or run txtconfig from the command line on the client. The following KB contains step-by-step instructions.

Also check the Windows Firewall to allow the correct ports to be open on the NVBU Server or clients.
For Linux, to accept inbound and outbound connections on port 20031-20131, following commands can be used
Command to check the iptables
