ExchangePro: During installation, the error "Configuration Failed. The underlying provider faile (4313433)

Issue

During installation, the error "Configuration Failed. The underlying provider failed on Open" appears.

Cause

Named Pipes protocol or TCP/IP protocol is disabled.

Solution

In order to fix this issue please confirm that you have Named Pipes Enabled and the TCP/IP enabled within SQL Server configuration Manager.

1. Open SQL Server configuration Manager.
2. Navigate to SQL Server Network Configuration Click on Protocols and Enable Named Pipes and TCP/IP.
3. If you run into the same Error again upon making the changes. Reboot may be required for these changes to fully take effect.
