Can Notes Mail-In databases be migrated to Exchange as shared mailboxes? (4209938)

When trying to migrate Notes Mail-In databases as shared mailboxes Notes Migrator creates a user mailbox for each Mail-In database instead of a shared mailbox.

Can Notes Mail-In databases be migrated as shared mailboxes?

Notes Migrator is able to provision user mailboxes and resource/room mailboxes but unfortunately it is not capable of provisioning shared mailboxes at the moment.

STATUS

Enhancement request TFS215660  has been submitted to Development for consideration in a future release of Notes Migrator for Exchange.

WORKAROUND

It is possible to use the following PowerShell command to change the mailbox type manually:
set-mailbox mailbox name -type shared

Valid types are:

• Regular
• Room
• Equipment
• Shared
