• The Migration Admin Account Pool utility is capable of creating the accounts for you
but you can certainly add accounts that you've pre-configured as well.
• The Admin Account Pool is based on an Exchange Admin Role Group that we create.
• There is an INI setting that defines the name of the group:
[Exchange] AdminAcctPoolRoleGroupName.
• The default name for this group is "Notes Migrator Admins Role Group".
If you're happy with that name you don't need to edit the INI settings, but if you want
a different name you need to configure the INI settings before running
the Manage Migration Admin Account Pool utility.
• If you change the INI setting after the utility has been run you'll need to use
the Exchange Admin web portal to delete the admin group with the old name.
• When the utility is run, it checks to see if the Admin Role Group exists.
If it does not, it will create the group.
• Once the utility finishes initializing, the group will have been created
and the utility can be closed. After the group has been created, you can use
the Exchange Admin web portal to edit the members of the group.
This allows you to add the accounts that were manually created to the group.
• The last step is to import the accounts to the MNE database.
This is done by opening up the Migration Admin Account Pool utility a second time.
When the utility is initializing, it will load the group members from O365.
Once it has finished initializing, you should see the accounts listed in the utility.
After it has finished initializing, click on the Close button.
• You don't need to click on the Apply button, because the accounts will have
already been added to the database.
• The Apply button is only for when you want to have the utility create
new accounts (or delete existing accounts).
