How to: Check Domino Server Availability Index
Description

Hi, Migration of users works fine, however we notice a very poor starting speed of the migration. 'Initialising' takes up to 5-10 minutes during which time the Domino server is responding to client requests very very poorly (client 'hang'') We have restarted the MNE and Domino server. No updates have been installed. This behavior seems to have started after the update to 4.12.1.145 patch.
Resolution

To check and see if the Domino Server is functioning well we can check the Availability Index.
It is a dynamic value regularly being recalculated by the Domino Server based on load and other factors.
To find your Domino Servers Availability Index, type "sh ser" at the console.
The results will include the following, see attached image.
